About BetterPic
BetterPic is an AI tool that turns your selfies into studio-quality headshots.
You can customize the look, either with AI tweaks or by having a real human editor adjust things for you.
There are different background and style options to pick from.
It saves you the hassle and cost of hiring a photographer—no booking, outfit planning, or studio trips needed.
Using BetterPic is easy, and you can get new headshots in as little as an hour.
How to Use It
To use the tool, go to their website and sign up.

First, you pick the style and background you want for your headshots.

I picked these three combos and got 60 headshots in total with my Pro plan.

Now, the most important part: uploading your selfies!
Since these are the base for your headshots, it’s worth taking a bit of time to pick good ones.
You can grab photos from your gallery or snap a few right then and there.

The tool even scores your selfies to help you pick the best ones!

This feature is super convenient!
Just scan the QR code, and you can open your phone’s gallery or take a new selfie and upload it straight away.

Then just confirm a few details about yourself that the AI has picked up.

Then you just wait.
The tool will email you when your headshots are ready.
For me, it took less than an hour!
Results, Quality & Accuracy of Headshots
Here are my results.
BetterPic shows a disclaimer before you see your headshots.
Some images might look a bit off, but that happens with all AI tools.

Here’s an overview of my headshots!
I got 60 headshots with my Pro plan.
At first glance, they look clean and polished—no strange hair colors or anything weird.

These three are probably my favorites.
I’d definitely use them on my social media profiles!

I feel like they make me look… a little too perfect, like a beauty filter is on.
I’m not crazy about the extra-polished look, but they do make a great resume or social media profile picture.

Edits
BetterPic has an editing feature for the headshots it creates.
You can tweak things yourself—change the background, remove blemishes, or even adjust your eye color.
There’s also a human edit option, where a real person can make changes for you.
This usually takes 24 to 48 hours.
I didn’t get a chance to try it myself, but I checked out some other creators who did, and the results looked solid.

I tried the AI customization options and swapped the plain dark background for an office setting.

Not too bad—though it’s not exactly a real office. I got four new images in just a few minutes.

Next, I tried changing the eye color.
The AI gave me bright blue eyes at first, so I switched them to gray, which is my real eye color.

This change is pretty subtle, so I wasn’t sure I’d notice much.
But in the bottom picture, my eyes look a little more blue-gray.
It also didn’t seem to affect the photo quality at all.

I’d suggest the Pro or Expert plan if you want high-quality headshots and the option to tweak them.
The Expert plan even includes unlimited human edits for one image, which is a nice bonus.
The Basic plan only gives you 20 headshots, so it’s a bit of a gamble whether you’ll get the shots you like.
If you just need a couple of good pics for social media, it’s an easy and cheap option.
Pros
- Fast turn-around time
- Easy to use
- Smart and user-friendly features like the uploading selfies directly from your phone through QR code
- Allows customization and even human editing (with Expert plan)
- Headshots make me look good, and don’t age me (this is a problem with many other tools!)
Cons
- Headshots look slightly too polished for my taste
- The Expert plan is a bit pricey
- Missing the Linkedin icon preview feature
Final thoughts
Overall, I got a bunch of good-looking headshots, and I found some I’d actually use on my social media.
The turnaround time of under an hour is awesome—way faster and easier than booking a professional photoshoot.
I’d personally like a slightly more natural look, but that’s just me.
I’m sure a lot of people really like this polished style.
