About Secta AI
Let me quickly introduce Secta AI before showing the results. It’s a headshot generator that turns your selfies into business-quality photos.
You can also customize with the Remix feature and pick from different styles.
Secta AI has two plans: the Professional Plan for individuals and the Custom Plan for teams.
For this review, I used the Professional Plan.
But now, let me show you what it’s like to use it and my results.
How to Use It
To start creating your headshots with Secta, go to their website and sign up for the service.

Pick your package.
They also have other generators, but I didn’t test those in this review.

After choosing your package, you pick the setups for your headshots.
You can choose up to 7 different styles.

You can set your preferences and link your LinkedIn profile.

Next, upload about 15 selfies.
It’s worth putting effort here—the quality of your headshots depends on the selfies you give.
Secta AI helps with clear instructions and checks your photos before you move on.

For example, it rejected these selfies for being too blurry.
They would have ruined the headshots.

I marked this one as my Favorite Photo.

Pretty easy. Now just wait.
For me, it took about 2 hours, but it depends on the queue.

My Results
Okay, here are the results I got.
These are my favorites:

It’s hard to tell if these are real photos or AI-generated.
In most shots, it turned me into a brunette. The cool brown shades make me look a bit pale.

I tested very different styles.
The Viral pack looks fun, but I probably wouldn’t use any of those.

At first glance, the facial expressions look very accurate.
For example, I uploaded one selfie with a slightly bored look, and that same expression showed up in many headshots.
Of course, a few shots are a bit off. In some, I look tired, and it even added a few blemishes.
On the plus side, the skin doesn’t look fake or overly smooth.

One thing I like is these headshots don’t age me.
Other tools often make me look 10–15 years older for some reason.
Edits
Secta AI also lets you edit your headshots (with a subscription).
I tried the Remix feature to change my hair back to blonde.
You can also tweak expressions, clothing, or upscale the photos.

Here I changed my clothing to a midnight blue shirt.
The results came back a bit blurry.

The tool generates 8 new headshots in about 5–8 minutes.
A smaller edit might help keep the quality higher.
Pricing & Value for Money
Secta AI isn’t free, so here’s the pricing.
There’s a Professional Plan and a Custom Plan for teams and companies.

Professional Plan
- Price: $49 (one-time payment)
- Includes:
- 100+ professional headshots
- Remix features: variations, uncrop, recolor, retouch (requires subscription)
- 24/7 Human live chat support
- Private gallery and sharing capabilities
- 30-day money-back guarantee if unused
Delivery time depends on the queue. For me, it was about 2 hours. Later, it dropped to under an hour.
The price is fair if you need a lot of headshots. But if you only need a couple for social media, it feels a bit expensive.
Pros
- Lets you edit headshots.
- Very accurate, only a few bad ones.
- Multiple styles to choose from.
- Fast processing and delivery.
- Doesn’t age me.
Cons
- Remix edits can make headshots blurry.
- Hair color changes sometimes make results unusable.
- Some headshots look repetitive.
My take
From my set, I found about 10 headshots I’d use on LinkedIn or other social media.
The Remix feature didn’t work well for me. Maybe smaller edits would keep the quality up and avoid blurriness. Some styles also felt a bit repetitive.
The price feels high if you only need one strong headshot, since there’s only one package for individuals. But if you need a larger set, the pricing makes sense.
For the right audience, Secta AI is a solid tool.
